We are delighted to announce that, for the sixth year running, IGGY will partner with Litro to host the IGGY and Litro Young Writers’ Prize.

Inspiring, encouraging and acknowledging the creativity of young people is a common goal for the online educational community, IGGY and Litro Magazine – so for the sixth year running, we’re joining forces for the IGGY and Litro Young Writers’ Prize. This competition is open to creative 13-18 year olds all over the world, and the winning young writer will be awarded a £1,000 cash prize. Their winning story will also be published on IGGY.net and in Litro Magazine.

The theme of this year’s competition is Movement, and we’re asking entrants to inspire and captivate us with compelling stories around this concept. Stories must be no longer than 2,500 words in length, and must be submitted in English.

The competition opens on Monday 2nd November 2015, and the closing date for entries is Monday 8th February 2016.

We’ll announce the shortlist on Wednesday 9th March 2015, and announce the winner at an awards ceremony to be held at the iconic Shard building.

All shortlisted entrants and their supporters will be invited to the event, where further prizes will also be awarded at the discretion of the judges.
