Flash Friday Weekend Challenge

150 words. Three backpacks. One weekend.

We’re doing a very quick Flash Friday writing challenge this weekend.

In 150 words or fewer, write about a journey, place, object or moment of weather that stayed with you.

We’ll choose three winners and publish all three pieces on Litro. Each writer will also receive a Stormtech Norseman Roll Top Backpack 24.

It’s free to enter and open worldwide.

Entries close Sunday 13 September 2026 at 11:59pm UK time.

We’ll announce the three winners in next Friday’s Flash Friday, on 18 September.

Supported by Stormtech. Stormtech is providing the prizes and is not involved in judging. Litro is responsible for selecting the winning pieces.

One entry per person. Entrants retain copyright in their work. By entering, the three winning writers grant Litro non-exclusive permission to publish and promote their winning entry online, in the Litro newsletter and on Litro’s social channels, with full credit. There is no cash alternative to the prize. Litro’s editorial decision is final. Entry information will be used to administer the competition unless you separately choose to join the Litro newsletter.
