AI Readiness Sprint for Publishers & Cultural Leaders is a 3-week executive lab for publishers, editors, arts organisations, cultural teams, and rights holders who need to move from AI anxiety to practical decisions.
This is not a technical coding course and it is not a hype session. It is designed for leaders who need to understand where AI touches their publishing, editorial, rights, archive, metadata, workflow, and governance responsibilities — and what to do next.
By the end, you’ll leave with:
- an AI-use map for your organisation or team
- a risk-and-opportunity checklist for editorial, rights, archive, and publishing workflows
- a practical governance priority list
- a simple internal policy outline for responsible AI use
- a 30/60/90-day action plan suitable for leadership, trustees, boards, or funders

How you will learn
You’ll learn through a compact executive sprint built around your organisation’s real publishing, editorial, archive, rights, and workflow questions. The focus is practical: map current AI exposure, identify decision points, and leave with a clear readiness plan.
- Live Zoom sessions: one structured 90-minute session each week with examples, checklists, and decisions to make.
- Pre-session briefing: 30–40 minutes each week to align language and reduce confusion around AI terminology.
- Optional clinic included: 45 minutes each week for targeted questions and application to your organisation’s workflows.
- Hands-on mapping prompts: each week includes a guided exercise to identify where AI already touches your work, where the risks sit, and where human review is needed.
- Decision-first outputs: you’ll produce an AI-readiness map, a governance priority list, and a 30/60/90-day action plan.
The Tutor
Eric Akoto
Eric Akoto is the editor and publisher of Litro Magazine, which for two decades has published emerging and established writers from around the world — in print, online, and through live events. He has read, selected, and edited short work at scale, and worked closely with writers on getting individual pieces into publishable shape.
His editorial focus is practical: what to cut, what to strengthen, what to leave alone, and where a piece should go next. Writers who have worked with him through Litro Fast Track know him for concise, exacting feedback that turns a near-ready draft into a submission-ready one.
