What to expect

“Students can expect to be immersed in the subtle world of arranging items for a picture. We will play with color palettes, balancing shapes, and designing a narrative using common items such as fruit, foods, flowers, and objects of curiosity. I’m excited to share my enjoyment of inspiring artworks, and help students with their own arrangements, sketches, and pictures. This workshop is for all skill levels, just bring your curiosity and interest in picture making.

The Tutor

Dan Bunn

Dan Bunn is a painter based in Brooklyn, NY. After becoming enthralled with fantasy art as a child and masterworks of the past as a teenager, he studied art in various ways until he found his way to Grand Central Atelier to study with Jacob Collins and the crew of notable painters and instructors in NYC. He is now teaching in the core program at GCA and showing new works with multiple venues. He works primarily in oil paint, conjuring mysterious scenes replete with fruit, animals, people, and objects of curiosity. Observations of nature meet a wandering imagination, as fantasy and truth melt into one.
