Eric Akoto
Eric Akoto is the founder and editor of Litro Magazine, where he has spent two decades publishing emerging and established voices from around the world across print, digital, live events, submissions, and editorial development.
His work sits across writing, publishing, rights awareness, editorial judgement, audience development, and practical creative infrastructure. He has worked with writers, agents, publishers, and cultural teams on how creative work is shaped, presented, discovered, protected, and moved toward publication.
Through Litro Fast Track, Eric is known for concise, exacting, and genuinely useful editorial feedback. Through Litro and The Sphere Initiative, he also works on visibility, rights signals, metadata, AI-readiness, and the practical decisions facing publishers and cultural organisations.
His teaching and sprint work is practical rather than theoretical: clear diagnosis, sharper decisions, and usable next steps for writers, publishers, editors, and cultural teams.
“Thank you for a very concise, very precise, very useful report on my story. You are a model for editorial commentary.”
Townsend Walker, Fast Track user
“The notes gave me the fuel to move forward with a story I realised I was polishing without really improving.”
