Writing Place: Inside and Out (Live Masterclass with Sonia Overall)

Whatever genre you write in, place matters. In this one-off masterclass, writer and psychogeographer Sonia Overall introduces practical methods for enlivening your prose by working with real and imagined places, observation and memory, and embodied approaches to writing.

Tutor

Dr Sonia Overall is a writer, walking artist, psychogeographer and educator. Her published work includes novels, poetry, short stories, creative nonfiction, academic articles and features, often exploring place, the nonhuman and aspects of the weird. She also writes and adapts work for performance, collaborates with artists and performers, runs writing workshops and walkshops, appears at festivals and events, and undertakes work to commission. She is currently an Honorary Reader in Creative Writing at Canterbury Christ Church University.
