Mission Statement:
We aim to review a fair mix of well known authors and lesser known ones.

What we don’t review:
Poetry, romance, erotica, children’s books, instructional books (cookbooks, for example), self-help.

What we review:

  • Pretty much everything else, fiction and nonfiction—in the widest sense, including young adult, fantasy, science fiction, historical fiction, travel, graphic novels, memoirs & biographies, translated works, short story anthologies, etc.
  • Books relating to the monthly themes, which are listed here.
  • We also welcome “old” books—and not only those that warrant renewed attention due to a new film/stage adaptation etc.
  • We will also consider accepting review copies in electronic form.

Our side of the agreement:
By accepting a review copy of your book, we do not promise to finish it or review it. We will, of course, try our best, but if we don’t then we will endeavour to pass it along so it can find another reader. If we do finish your book, we’ll review it honestly and constructively on Litro. We recognise that writing a book is an immense labour of love (and sometimes exquisite torture), and will dignify your book by taking the time to read it properly.

We will do our best to read and review books in a timely manner. However, due to time constraints and other books we have in the “queue”, it may take several weeks or months for a review to be published. If you’d like a review by a particular date, please note it in your introductory email and we’ll see if we can accommodate your request.

Book reviews aside…
We are happy to publish guest posts by authors, conduct author interviews, and hold giveaways in conjunction with your book.

Contact:
Authors & publishers, if you would like us to review your book, please get in touch with a synopsis and an excerpt of the book. We will get back to you within two weeks to let you know if we’d like a copy of your book, and will let you know where to send it to.
