Eric Akoto is a British–Ghanaian literary entrepreneur and founder of Litro Magazine and The Sphere Initiative. Since 2005, he has worked at the intersection of storytelling, cultural programming, and creator rights.

Under his leadership, Litro has grown from a London-rooted literary publication into an international platform, publishing writers from 80+ countries and producing cross-border World Series programming with cultural partners across multiple regions.

He created the Litro World Series, a long-running curatorial programme connecting literary heritage with contemporary global voices — now expanding into Litro World Series 2026.

He is currently building The Sphere Initiative, focused on digital rights infrastructure that helps creators protect, verify, and monetise their work.
