Annabel read English at Cambridge before gaining her Creative Writing MA with distinction from Royal Holloway. She is currently writing up her practice-based poetry PhD, 'Poetry and the Archive', at Falmouth University. Annabel won the Cambridge Ryan/Kinsella poetry prize, the "Other" Prize for theatre, and in 2011 won the Whitechapel Journal short fiction prize. Her short fiction has been published in a number of anthologies. Her poetry has been published in numerous places, most recently Inky Needles, Envoi, Jungftak, Lockjaw and Dirty Chai. When not writing, Annabel teaches across the English and Creative Writing awards for Falmouth University; runs poetry workshops in archives and ruined buildings; and makes chapbooks by hand.
