Farzana is a former high school English teacher and holds an MA in Education from Leeds Trinity and an MA in Creative Writing and Critical Life from the University of Leeds. She is a PhD candidate in English Literature with Creative Writing at the University of York. Her work has appeared on platforms such as Dear Damsels and Overtly Lit. She also publishes under the name Farzana Amehd.
