Marienna’s work was shortlisted for the short fiction Booker Prize at Birkbeck (2019) and longlisted for the Life Writing Prize (2020). As a journalist, she has written on social justice issues for the Guardian, Independent, Hunger Magazine and Red Pepper amongst others. After a decade of campaign and advocacy work, she is now studying for a Creative Writing MA on a scholarship at Birkbeck College and leads the Justice for Gaia to improve support for survivors of gendered violence.
