Eunice Barbara C. Novio is from the Philippines and is now a Thailand-based freelance journalist and an EFL (English as Foreign Language) lecturer at Vongchavalitkul University in Nakhon Ratchasima since 2014. She has a Master’s Degree in Women and Development from the University of the Philippines under the Women Leadership Scholarship (WLS) of Channel Foundation. Eunice is a reviewer of various journals in Thailand and abroad. Presently, she sits as Editorial Advisory Board of Media Asia, published by Taylor & Francis; and Editorial Advisory Committee of In God’s Image, published by Asian Women Resource Center in Taiwan. She writes for Inquirer.net, and her articles have also appeared on the Asia Focus segment of Bangkok Post, Thai Enquirer, Asia Times, America Media, and The Nation. She is a two-time Plaridel Award winner of the Philippine American Press Club for feature/profile stories. Her essays and opinions are also published in many prominent academic journals including Asia Politics and Policy, Kyoto Review, Center for Southeast Asian Studies, and SHAPE-SEA (Strengthening Human Rights and Peace Research and Education in ASEAN/Southeast Asia). Eunice also dabbles into poetry. Some of her poems were published by ANMLY, Dimes Show Review, Blue Mountain Arts among others.
