Shannon Lee Bennett moved to Calgary to teach at an all-girl middle school after completing her degrees in History, English and Education. Much like the former Care of Magical Creatures teacher at Hogwarts, however, she decided she had to move on to enjoy more time with her remaining limbs. Now she works as a land administrator in the oil and gas industry, squandering her spare time writing in coffee shops and plotting her eventual escape to the backwoods of Sweden. Her work was most recently seen in the Alberta Magazine Publishers Association's 2012 Get Literary festival.
